Itinerary
From Trogir, Croatia - Mediterranean to Trogir, Yachtclub Seget (Marina Baotić), Split region - Croatia
After boarding at the DYW base "Marina Baotic" (6 PM), we will sail a little less than 10 nautical miles to Maslinica, a small fishing village on the island of Solta. This quiet and relaxing place, known for its charms, offers breathtaking views, picturesque stone houses, and a protected natural harbor. Maslinica Beach is one of the most beautiful on the island of Solta, with its crystal-clear waters and white sand. It is a perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature. It is also possible to have an aperitif at the Martinis - Marchi Fortress: This 18th-century fortress has been restored and transformed into a luxurious boutique hotel. Visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the harbor from the terrace. We will spend the night at anchor in the bay after our first dinner on board.
After a morning swim, we will sail to Palmizana, an island that is part of the Pakleni Islands archipelago. Here, you can engage in water sports (kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkeling equipment available on board) or simply swim to enjoy its beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. In the afternoon, visit the exotic botanical garden, which is home to hundreds of rare plant species, including olive trees, laurels, rosemary, mimosas, and cacti. According to the island's history, it was created by the Meneghello family, who transformed the barren land into a paradise, offering visitors the chance to feel in harmony with the sea and nature. You can also visit Hvar by water taxi, a town close to Palmizana, famous for its blend of historical, Gothic, and Renaissance architectural styles and for the significance the Venetian aristocracy placed on this location. Wander through the streets lined with colorful marble stones and discover its many monuments, such as the 16th-century St. Stephen's Cathedral or the Franciscan Monastery. The antique theater and the Spanish fortress are also worth a visit. We will have dinner on board and spend the night at anchor.
is and its surrounding islands are a sailor's paradise and one of the highlights of the week, which we will discover from its eastern coast. The island of Vis holds a special place for many Croatians, as it is a truly preserved island. After lunch, we will sail to Smokova Bay, a beautiful uninhabited anchorage with turquoise waters ending on a fine sandy beach known to the locals of Vis as the "survivors' beach." Later in the afternoon, we will head to our next cove, Zaglav Bay, another enchanting bay with a sandy beach. We will spend the evening there at anchor, with dinner on board.
In the morning, we will have a very short sail to the Blue Lagoon at Budikovac (near Vis), a perfect place to have breakfast, enjoy the first swim of the day, or engage in water sports on board (paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling). After lunch, we will sail to Bisevo, the small neighboring island of Vis. Bisevo's coastline is a mix of high cliffs, caves, and beautiful beaches. Our first stop will be at the "Monk Seal Cave": It is not possible to anchor here, so you can either enjoy the view from the boat or swim to the cave. For the evening, we will circle the island to spend the night in Salbunara Bay, with dinner on board at anchor.
After breakfast in Salbunara Bay, we will head to the island of Vis and anchor near an underwater tunnel in a bay just north of the island, a perfect place for lunch. In the afternoon we will anchor in front of the old town of Vis, one of the oldest urban centers in Croatia with the first settlements dating back to ancient Hellenic times. Today, Vis has this irresistible Mediterranean charm, is very popular with sailors and you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through its streets. Take your time, have a coffee and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. Dinner on board.
We will start the day with a beautiful sail, passing by the island of Palmizana and heading northeast towards Duga Bay in Hvar, where we will stay for lunch. Today will be a perfect day to enjoy swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, or paddleboarding, either in this bay or at our overnight anchorage, Tiha Bay, further east. This well-sheltered anchorage offers tranquility and natural beauty, located north of the town of Stari Grad. Enjoy this peaceful anchorage with birdsong and crystal-clear waters. Dinner on board.
After breakfast, we will dock at the quay of Stari Grad, the second oldest town in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage site. With its rich history and cultural monuments, this ancient town will amaze you. Stroll through the colorful streets and visit the Dominican Monastery and its stunning churches. Surrounded by pines, vineyards, and olive trees, Stari Grad will remain in your memories. We will have an early lunch, and then it will be time to head back to Trogir, with a final swim at the island of Ciovo, near the marina. After dinner on board, you can visit the town, known as the "Croatian Venice." Trogir is a UNESCO World Heritage site that will leave no one indifferent.
After breakfast, disembarkation at 9:00 AM. Itinerary subject to changes without notice for technical and/or weather reasons.
