Itinerary
From Corsica, France - Mediterranean to Corsica, Ajaccio, Port De Plaisance Charles Ornano, Corsica - France
Boarding in Ajaccio late afternoon. Departure around 06.00 pm (18h00), route to Sainte Barbe in Ajaccio Bay, dinner and night on board.
Set sail to the Gulfe of Valenco, where the beautiful sights have been mentioned in many traditional Cosican songs. Mooring in Porto Pollo for lunch after sailing around the reefs of Taravù. Enjoy swimming, kayaking and relaxing. For our guests who like snorkelling: take the dinghy to the rocks of Taravu, a beautiful snorkelling spot. After lunch, sail to the bay of Campo Moro. The town of Campo Moro was originally a simple fishermen’s village made of a few gray granite houses. It has kept its genuine and authentic charm. Ashore, you will find a few bars, restaurants and shops. Visit the bastion, located on the headland of Campo Moro. This historical site has been entirely restored and displays the unspoiled architecture of a fortified Genoese building. Mooring for the night.
Sail to Sénétose and its magnificent wild moorings, lunch in Arana cove. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, snorkelling and relaxing. Departure to Bonifacio. The whole coast after Acula, is indented with tiny fjords. On Rocapina headland, a heap of rocks look like sleeping lion. Arrival late afternoon in the pearl of South Corsica - Bonifacio, as beautiful as it is spectacular! Entering the port of Bonifacio is very impressive because the harbour is dominated by a huge cliff, on which the fortified city is located. The inhabitants used to say that this vast fjord would be where Ulysses’ black vessel sheltered once during his Odyssey. Mooring for the night.
After breakfast, depart to the Lavezzi islands. The extraordinary aspect of this heap of rocks gives the feeling that we’re back to the Stone Age. This marine and ground sanctuary mainly protects a rare specie of seagulls that nest within the vast rocks, as well as countless fish in the turquoise waters. The boulders, piling up high, create small inside rooms whose walls are polished by erosion. Lunch in this heavenly mooring, then swimming and nautical activities. Mooring in Piana island, a natural reserve where the waters are so clear that one can see the white sandy bottom, 3 or 4 meters deep.
After breakfast, snorkelling and relaxation in a natural aquarium. After lunch, sail to Rocapina and its small cove, dominated by its “lion”. Mooring for the night.
Nautical activities, relaxing and swimming after breakfast. Departure to Propriano after lunch. Sailing along the coasts for the Gulf of Valenco and arrival in Propriano. The shore is boarded by houses around this typical Corsican harbour, lively with many bars and restaurants. The town is absolutely charming and not too crowded even during high season. Visit the village and enjoy some shopping. Mooring for the night in Propriano.
Setting sail in the morning to Ajaccio, with a call in front of the Isolella tower. Lunch at mooring in front of a nice beach where you will have plenty of time for kayaking, snorkelling and swimming, prior to departing to Ajaccio. Arrival in Ajaccio late afternoon where you can visit the city and witness its historical and Napoleonian background, or simply enjoy the lively quays. Mooring for the night in Ajaccio.
Disembarking at 09.00 am. N.B.: The itinerary may be changed due to weather conditions.
