SATURDAY: GOUVIA

Check in 6:00 pm You’ll begin with a safety demonstration and briefing with your skipper, and after settling into your cabin you will have the opportunity to start your vacation exploring the compact, walkable old town, a cultural UNESCO World Heritage Site built between two Venetian fortresses. Corfu is the northernmost and most popular of the Ionian Islands due to its stunning beaches and natural settings, a distinctive history, intriguing architectural and archaeological remains. Find a nice place to have dinner, spend your first night on board at Marina, ready for an early start on your sailing adventure the next day.

Day 2
SUNDAY: CORFU/SYVOTA TOWN (Mourtos) 21NM ( 3.50Hr)

We’ll start our adventure sailing toward Syvota. Syvota town is famous in Greece for its crystal-clear waters, beautiful beaches, and picturesque landscapes. It is also a popular destination for yachting and sailing due to the small islands very near to the Coast and is considered as one of the most exotic destinations within Greece, with beautiful shores, green islets, long sheltered beaches, and secret coves. You will visit the Town and choose from one of the many different tavernas to have dinner and explore local cuisine. Spend the night in the Bay. During the morning, we’ll visit more of Syvota’s beautiful islands and stunning sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, or head to End Bay which is a larger, pebbly beach surrounded by lush greenery. Enjoy swimming and water sports (paddle & snorkeling), before returning to have Lunch on board with this stunning backdrop before sailing on to Lakka. Lakka is the second largest village of Paxos, most of the buildings in Lakka are of Venetian design and the bay is surrounded by olive groves and cypress trees; all of which makes the setting very picturesque. Visit the town and have dinner, Lakka is known for its fresh seafood, so some must-try dishes include grilled octopus, fried calamari, and seafood pasta. You should also try traditional Greek dishes like moussaka and souvlaki.

Day 3
MONDAY: SYVOTA - LAKKA (Paxos) 12NM (2hrs) BLUE CAVES West of Paxos - GAIOS Paxos.

Start the day sailing around the island towards Gaios Island where we will head out to visit the Blue Caves on the western coast, a stunning location only reachable by sea. The sea water around the caves is vivid blue and thus they call them "The Blue Caves". Gaios is a harbour town and the capital of the Ionian Islands of Paxos. It’s named after the saint that brought Christianity to the island. Is a charming large village that surrounds a crescent-shaped and pretty and picturesque Port that serves as the principal travel hub of the island. As the liveliest of the three main villages on Paxos, there are a good selection of restaurants, tavernas, coffee bars and shops to be found in the many streets that lead from the Venetian main square. Spend the night on board in the bay.

Day 4
TUESDAY: GAIOS - ANTIPAXOS - PARGA

After breakfast and a good coffee, we sail south towards Antipaxos, a small and uninhabited island, to enjoy the beautiful and unspoiled sandy bays. The views from the top are remarkable. Enjoy lunch on board before swimming, and water sports in this unique location before setting sail to Parga. Parga is on the western coast of Greece’s mainland, and it is famous for its exotic beaches, breathtaking natural landscape, and traditional architecture. It has the ambiance of an Ionian Island, from turquoise waters and breathtaking mountains to elegant architecture. Upon arrival you will have the opportunity to visit and find a special place to have dinner.

Day 5
WEDNESDAY: PARGA - PETRITI 25 NM (4hrs)

We start the day navigating to Petriti, a fishing village located on the southeast coast of Corfu. A popular attraction in Petriti is its fishing port. The port is home to several fishing boats and offers visitors the opportunity to watch the local fishermen at work. Here you can also sample some of the fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants located near the port. You’ll enjoy beautiful seaside sunset views while the many moored boats create a variety of interesting color combinations with the water! Take a walk through the village and admire the traditional architecture and charming streets. Have dinner and spend the night on board.

Day 6
THURSDAY: PETRITI - OLD FORTRESS GARITSA BAY

Once we enjoy a nice swim and breakfast, we will start sailing towards the OLD FORTRESS. There is no visitor to the island who is not enchanted by the view of Garitsa Bay. After having lunch on board, you can visit this special place. The most imposing monument in Corfu, the old fortress built on a rocky peninsula with two characteristic hills (Corifes), the Old Fortress is positioned at the eastern end of the citadel. What makes the Old Fortress special is, without a doubt, the inspiring 360 degree, panoramic view it offers of the Ionian Sea and Old Corfu Town. For many centuries the Venetian built fortress underwent transformations and extensions. Today, the Old Fortress along with the New Fortress, Old Corfu Town and its other fortifications, and Castles are also UNESCO World Heritage. Visit some of the several restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy traditional Greek cuisine while enjoying the beautiful views of the bay.

Day 7
FRIDAY: NORTH EAST OF CORFU - GOUVIA

After leaving Garitsa bay, we’ll sail for 1hr.30 towards the north of the Island of Corfu, to visit its famous beaches, Agni, Kalami & Kouloura, where you can enjoy a final day of swimming, paddle boarding or snorkeling in these unique crystal-clear waters, or maybe just relax and sunbathe. During the afternoon we’ll set sail back to our base in Gouvia, where you can use the marina facilities, swimming pool, restaurant, bar, showers, laundry or just decide to enjoy the last night at Corfu town, which is easy to reach by bus or taxi.

The marina itself is a perfect starting point with great facilities! The Lagoon 42 was in good condition and the skipper was amazing and very knowledgeable of the area.”

Jonathan

Spain Skippered

What an AMAZING experience. We’ve just returned from a week long skippered charter from Corfu, sailing around the beautiful islands of the Ionian. Paxos, Antipaxos and Corfu Old Town were beautiful and the secluded bays we had the pleasure of visiting thanks to our local skipper, Nicholas, were simply overwhelming. Fly and flops are no longer for us – we’ll be chartering with DYC for the foreseeable future.

David

Greece Skippered

Our group of 10 had an AMAZING time in French Polynesia from May 21-28, 2022! The food was amazing, our captain and chef, husband and wife: Henry and Mehee (sp), were incredible and the whole experience on board was a dream! We can’t wait to book another trip through DYC

Katie

Tahiti Crewed Premium

DYC provided a great sailing experience for my extended family on 2 monos out of Scrub Island. The boats were in great shape and preformed perfectly and the staff were friendly and helpful. Having worked for a number of charter companies over the years DYC is one of the best.

Charlie

British Virgin Islands Bareboat

Baja is my favorite place now. There was something for everyone: sailed under northerlies with mostly calm evenings, snorkeled, fished, bummed it on the sandy beaches, enchanted by pelicans feeding, greeted by the barking sea lions and explored the Ispiritu Santo island geology. DYC La Paz base provided competent professional support with a well provisioned and maintained boat. We were nourished well by an onboard cook arranged with DYC freeing us all for more play. A vacation and an adventure connected with nature.

Taiyoko
